Weak
One reason I value the passmark score above all other CPU benchmarks is because it gives me a real life approximation of what I can expect from a CPU. I've had a few PCs over the years, with CPUs like Intel N95, N100, core i7-10640U, and 4 Ryzens - 1700X, 3200g, 5560U and 7840HS, and the passmark scores have been quite proportionate. My typical workload involves compute heavy tasks using Python, Power Query and a few others. This was the reason I have been quite eager to get the passmark score from the SDXE, to allow me set my expectations.
From the comparison I posted, here's what I gathered.
1. The SDXE should have at least twice the capability of the older SD 8CX. This is important not just for running ARM native apps, but more importantly, for emulation. A capable CPU should allow you to run x86 apps with very little impact.
2. The SDXE performance should be comparable to current gen offerings from AMD, Intel and Apple. This is also a good thing for this chip. It does not need to blow the competition out of the water for it to be successful, it just needs to compete, adequately.
3. No indication of power consumption on this chart, however we expect it to be power efficient, and provide much longer battery life than the Intel/AMD CPUs, and we also expect it to be able to provide max performance while running on battery, which is something the x86 CPUs cannot do.
4. For the price we are getting these devices at, I'd say it was money well spent.

It looks like that benchmark is for X Plus 64-100. GB4Es have X Elite 80-100 or 84-100 depending on models. Supposedly, the single core performance of these chips should be more powerful than 155h. Let's wait and see.

That's one reason I really value Apple and to some extent AMD. If they hadn't challenged Intel over the last few years, we'd have been stuck using subpar CPUs at extortionate prices. Apple's silicon is the trendsetter, the fact no one else can push out a sub 4nm design is a bummer. However the others are forced to do impressive things using the existing designs and we are all coming out on top.

Just stacked a bunch of codes and threw in an old broken junk of a laptop in for the trade in, came out to the following total: $983 + tax
Applied following codes/discounts:
SPC discount $250
5% off student beans
$100 off monitor code (got in email)
15% off monitor (automatically applied)

would prob go for the 32inch 4k one for only $60 more with much better specsthere is also an offer for a $99 T7 shield SSD (which stacks with the site discounts) when you get a 2024 monitor but the specific black model is sold out
Insane.

This is kinda tempting. $400 + $250 SPC code alone is fine enough for me. I have an old NP900X in which the keyboard is busted.
I said no to all and it still gives $400 trade-in. The thing has some sort of pre-SSD storage in it which I would rip out before trading it (could use it elsewhere).
Just hoping it doesn't matter there's no storage if I trade it in.
Still, I would like to know how this thing performs and would love some reviews. $1K is still a bit of change to plunk on a laptop.
EDIT:
Forgot it has that awful bilingual keyboard. Hard pass. Sigh. Samsung, WHY?????

New orders are set to ship out July 5, while those who ordered earlier should receive theirs on June 18.
This means anyone who orders today can lock in the promo price and have at least 2 weeks after reviews come out to decide if they want to cancel.
EDIT: Fixed typos.

As long as you answer no to all questions, it shouldn't matter.

You can request samsung support to get one. I just got one from chat. Told them that I registered for the event but didn't get the email (that is true as well). So they asked me to add everything to cart and then provided me with a monitor code. It took me a good 15 minutes to prepare the cart so I would suggest that prepare the cart first and then contact support. Best of luck.

Haha this one is not even white. It's light blue. I wish there was black or dark blue like Apple's midnight. I would've totally gone for it.

RIP 10% restock fee.
Could of had the book 14" + 32 inch UHD monitor for the same price as the 14" + 32" FHD if I waited longer.

Elaborate? You mean they removed restock fee?
