South Jersey Truck Driver Arrested In Fiery Triple-Fatal Route 1 Crash, Authorities Say A Bridgeton man has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Georgia and charged with aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide in the fiery crash that killed there people on Route 1 in South Brunswick in April, authorities said. Tractor-Trailer Fully Engulfed In Flames On NJ Turnpike (Update) A tractor-trailer became fully engulfed in flames on New Jersey Turnpike in South Brunswick. New Jersey State Troopers responded to the truck fire on Tuesday, July 2 at 12:40 p.m. on the south outer roadway milepost 77.4 in South Brunswick Township, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesman. Upon the trooper’s arrival, the International tractor-trailer was fully engulfed in flames. There were no injuries reported, Lebron said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available.

NJ Mom Killed By Falling Tree While Camping With Family In Furious Upstate NY Storm A New Jersey woman was killed in upstate New York over the weekend when a tree fell on her camper during fierce thunderstorms that ripped through the region, authorities said. At about 10:50 a.m. the Delaware County 911 Center received multiple reports of trees down on campers at multiple locations with an individual trapped at the Russell Brook Campground in the Town of Colchester. Dump Truck Driver Cited For Disregarding A Stop Sign In Fatal South Jersey Crash: Prosecutor The dump truck driver accused of passing through a stop sign in a fatal crash in Cumberland County has been formally cited, authorities said on Tuesday, July 2. Driver Falls Asleep, Causes Power Outage For 1,000 In Barnegat, Police Say Nearly 1,000 people are without power in Barnegat Sunday morning, June 30 due to a car that ran off the road when its driver fell asleep at the wheel and struck a utility pole, police said.
